Introduction

My name is Sophia Bianchi and I was born and raised in Bristow, a small town in Virginia.  I now have been living in Tampa Florida for the past three years and do not plan on moving.  I am currently a junior pursing a Bachelors in Fine Arts degree with a major in Film and Media Arts.  Coming to college, I was a first time filmmaker, but over the years, I've developed a great passion for screenwriting, directing, and production managing.  I also currently work a part time time job at Meat Market in Hyde Park Village.

Black and White to Color

For this project, I used Adobe Photoshop to turn a selfie into three different color palettes.  I had to outline and create masks for each individual part of the photo, which was very time consuming.  Although it looks extremely unrealistic, and creepy, it is kind of cool, especially knowing the work that came out of it.  I really enjoy my last color palette the best just because I think the colors compliment each other well.

Multiplicity

For the this multiplicity project, when I heard we had to place ourselves in a space 6 different times, I just knew I had to use my kitten, Zara.  She was definitely a pain to keep still especially in her cowgirl hat and mermaid costume, but it was really fun and cute in the end.  I used Adobe Photoshop for this and am happy with my execution.  I also added shadows to make it look more realistic.

Autoscopy Helping Hand

My autoscopy project has a deep meaning behind it, which made it very valuable to me.  I made this in Adobe Photoshop.  We had to take a photo of ourselves and twist it and edit it to tell a story.  I have dealt with anxiety and depression for a while now, so I wanted to do something with this topic.  I sat in my shower with the water running down my face and then edited it with a dark color palette.  I added more droplets of water and a large scale hand in front of my face to show no matter how lonely you may be, there might be help right in front of you.  This project was very rewarding to me because of how meaningful it was to me.
